ENTRY REQUIREMENTS — BSc CYBER SECURITY & BSc INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY

Core Subjects: Credits in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science.
Elective Subjects: Credits in any three (3) Elective Subjects from:
• General Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, ICT and Elective Mathematics
• General Arts: Economics, Geography, Elective Mathematics, ICT and Government
• Business: Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Costing, ICT and Elective Mathematics
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS — BSc ROBOTICS ENGINEERING AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Core Subjects: Credits in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science.
Elective Subjects: Credits in 3 Electives: Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Applied Electricity or Electronics or ICT or Computer Studies or Metal Work or Technical Drawing or Auto-Mechanic.
UMaT uses the WASSCE grading system. A grade aggregate of 36 is the University’s minimum entry requirement. Competitive departmental cut-off aggregates may apply for each intake.
OTHER APPLICANT CATEGORIES
Mature Applicants
Applicants should be at least 25 years of age and should have WASSCE/SSSCE or GCE O’ Level Certificate with credits in five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject, with experience in the relevant area of study. Applicants must pass a written examination and/or an interview. Mature applicants must also possess birth certificates which are at least five (5) years old after the date of issue.
International Applicants
Applicants with equivalent qualifications will be considered for admission.
Specially Sponsored or Fee-paying Applicants
Applicants who satisfy the University’s minimum entry requirement of aggregate 36 but cannot meet the competitive departmental cut-off aggregate can apply for admission, provided they have sponsorship to cover their full fees.
HOW TO APPLY — GHANAIAN APPLICANT

1. Purchase of Form
Purchase the admission e-voucher from approved sales outlets (including selected banks and the Post Office). The e-voucher contains the PIN and serial number required for the online application. Begin your application at: https://portal.umat.edu.gh/apply/account/login
After completing the online application, print the application summary, sign it, attach the relevant documents, and post them to the University.
2. Documentation
Upload the following during the application process where applicable:
• Birth Certificate
• Second-cycle education certificate or result slip (e.g. WASSCE/SSCE)
• Academic Transcript (Top-up applicants)
• Tertiary certificate (Top-up applicants)
• Introductory letter on work experience (Mature applicants)
3. Passport Photograph
Upload a recent passport photo with a clear white background (JPEG, about 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm, not more than 65 KB). The photo should show the full face and both ears, without headgear or spectacles. Self-captured phone photos are not accepted. The uploaded photo is used for your Student ID card if you enrol.
4. Programme Selection
• Direct BSc applicants select four (4) distinct programmes in order of preference.
• Diploma applicants select one (1) programme.
• BSc Top-up applicants select two (2) distinct programmes.
• Certificate and other applicants select one (1) programme.
The same programme cannot be chosen twice.
5. Corroborator
A corroborator confirms the information provided by the applicant and must have an official stamp. Acceptable corroborators include a senior officer in a public or private institution, a chief/traditional authority, an ordained Reverend Minister or Imam, or the head teacher of an educational institution. A parent or family relative cannot corroborate for the same applicant.
6. Successful Online Submission
Complete personal information, contact details, parent/guardian information, examination history (where applicable), and programme choices accurately. Verify your data before final submission. An application code is generated on the application summary after submission.
7. Postage
Print and sign the completed online application summary. Ensure the corroborator completes, signs, and stamps their portion. Attach supporting documents and two passport pictures. Write the application code on the envelope and post by courier (EMS/DHL/FedEx) to:
